Why do I need to register if E3 2021 is all digital?

You must register in order to access the official E3 portal and app, which will include the following, among other elements: 

  • The ability to create a unique profile with a variety of exciting customizations
  • Gamification across the app that will appear on the user’s profile
  • Real time activity feed that includes upcoming and past activities, social and editorial content, publisher and developer events, general programming, and other specific content that is suggested to the user based on their interests
  • Interactive “booths” from participating exhibitors
  • Social media sharing and interaction through the feed 
  • Discussion forums 
  • Interactive meetups and lounges
  • Calendaring system to display events
What should I expect after I register?

You’ll get an email confirmation granting your access to the E3 portal and app, where starting Saturday June 12, you can create your profile and start exploring everything E3 2021 has to offer.

When can fan badge holders access the E3 portal and app?

Fans will be able to access the E3 portal and app starting Saturday, June 12.

How do I create my profile and avatar?

Once you log in, an avatar creation screen will display for you to create a unique avatar that gives you the ability to customize all your features.

Will all E3 2021 participating companies have booths?

No, not all participating companies will have a booth. You can see a list of all companies with virtual booths on the homepage of the website.

What can I do on the portal and app?

In addition to watching the live E3 2021 broadcast, you’ll be able to access all of the following:

  • The ability to create a unique profile with a variety of exciting customizations
  • Gamification across the app that will appear on the user’s profile
  • Real time activity feed that includes upcoming and past activities, social and editorial content, publisher and developer events, general programming, and other specific content that is suggested to the user based on their interests

Yes, the portal and app will be open through the end of June 2021.

Yes! You can watch the E3 broadcast in the portal and app through your desktop computer or mobile device.

Is the E3 broadcast live?

Yes, the E3 broadcast will be live from June 12 through June 15.

What is the gamification element?

Gamification consists of badges, rewards and points to increase user participation. The goal of the gamification layer is to engage with users to collaborate, share and interact.

What are rewards and goals? What do I get with my points?

Rewards and badge opportunities will include goals in different categories like finishing the onboarding process, creating your avatar, following a booth, watching videos, reading articles, etc. The top points earned will be on display in a global leaderboard that will rank the top performing attendees.

What’s the difference between the portal and app?

Every effort has been made to have parity between the desktop portal and the mobile app, so there should be slim to no difference.

How are you keeping my data and personal information safe?

Keeping your data and information protected is our top priority. That is why we are limiting the information we are asking you to share in connection with E3. For example, we are no longer requiring that you provide your government ID to register. In addition to limiting the information we are asking you to share, we have enhanced our processes in other ways, including through the use of multi-factor authentication on key systems.
