Why do I need to register if E3 2021 is all digital?
You must register in order to access the official E3 portal and app, which will include the following, among other elements:
- The ability to create a unique profile with a variety of exciting customizations
- Gamification across the app that will appear on the user’s profile
- Real time activity feed that includes upcoming and past activities, social and editorial content, publisher and developer events, general programming, and other specific content that is suggested to the user based on their interests
- Interactive “booths” from participating exhibitors
- Social media sharing and interaction through the feed
- Discussion forums
- Interactive meetups and lounges
- Calendaring system to display events
In addition, industry professionals will have access to B2B functionalities including direct messaging, chat, video conferencing, etc, allowing you to engage directly with exhibitors. Fans do not have access to the B2B functionalities.
When can industry badge holders access the E3 portal and app?
Industry professionals will be able to access the E3 portal and app starting Saturday, June 12.
What are the requirements to register?
You must work for a company involved in the electronic entertainment industry. For more information about registering as an Industry attendee, visit https://e3expo-portal.com.
What should I expect after I register?
What access do industry professionals have that’s different from everyone else?
Industry professionals will have the same access to the portal and app as everyone else, but only industry professionals, media and influencers/creators will have access to the B2B functionalities, including direct messaging, chat, video conferencing, etc., allowing you to engage directly with exhibitors. Fans do not have access to the B2B functionalities.
What exactly does industry have access to in the portal and app?
Industry professionals will be able to create and customize their profile, enjoy the gamification component, browse exhibitor “booths,” engage directly with exhibitors leveraging the B2B functionalities, attend events, chat on forums, and more.
How do I create my profile and avatar?
Once you log in, an avatar creation screen will display for you to create a unique avatar that gives you the ability to customize all of your features.
Will all E3 2021 participating companies have booths?
No, not all participating companies will have a booth. You can see a list of all companies with virtual booths on the homepage of the website.
How do I see events exhibitors are hosting?
When you view an Exhibitor’s booth page, you will be able to see available time slots to attend industry events.
How do I schedule appointments with exhibitors?
Industry professionals can request to schedule an appointment or meeting with exhibitors by going to the events section of the exhibitor’s booth and creating a new request for a meeting.
How do I chat with exhibitors?
Under booths there is a send message button where the industry professional can chat with the booth owners. Note, it is not guaranteed that all exhibiting booths will respond.
What do I do if an exhibitor isn’t being responsive to my meeting requests or direct messages?
If a booth is not being responsive, feel free to continue to try to connect. If ultimately they do not reply, it’s safe to assume they will not be responsive and the booth is meant for visuals and content display.
What’s the difference between the portal and app?
Every effort has been made to have parity between the desktop and the mobile app, so there should be slim to no difference.
How are you keeping my data and personal information safe?
Keeping your data and information protected is our top priority. That is why we are limiting the information we are asking you to share in connection with E3. For example, we are no longer requiring that you provide your government ID to register. In addition to limiting the information we are asking you to share, we have enhanced our processes in other ways, including through the use of multi-factor authentication on key systems.
